An Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) assesses the condition of a property’s fixed electrical installation. We arrange inspections for landlords and letting agents in Edinburgh.
The inspection checks for damage, deterioration and defects, including issues with wiring, circuits, earthing and bonding.
For private rented homes in Scotland, electrical safety inspections are required at least every five years, or sooner where the inspecting electrician recommends it. Landlord-provided electrical appliances also need appropriate inspection and testing.

- C2: potentially dangerous; urgent remedial action required.
